This year’s edition of the Kriol Jazz Fest canceled
After the Kriol Jazz Fest did not take place last year, the organizers announced that this year too, the festival will not take place.
It should be remembered that when the Kriol Jazz Festival 2020 was postponed Cape Verde was just in a state of emergency, we thought it was brief, or semi-brief, or a simple press release that announced a postponement, later a cancellation and today, regrettably, a fact.
“The Kriol Jazz Festival 2021 will not happen. We postpone our dreams, our plans, our reunions but we do not postpone our lives, much less our music, one of the great companies of these new times”, announce Harmonia and the City Council in a joint statement published on Facebook.
