EDP Renováveis closes contract for the sale of wind energy in Poland
EDP Renováveis has concluded a 15-year contract to sell wind power in Poland at the Korsze wind farm, which has a capacity of 38 megawatts (MW), the company reported today.
The wind project is located in northeastern Poland and will be operational predictably in 2020, said the Polish subsidiary of EDP, which will increase its current installed capacity in Poland (418 MW).
Thanks to this new contract, EDP Renováveis has secured more than 3.4 GW in onshore and solar wind capacity additions on a global scale to be installed from September 2018, in addition to the projects of offshore wind power.
The company is present in 13 international markets (Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Spain, United States, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom and Romania).
