EDP has 10 million euros to invest in cleantech startups
EDP announced that it has 10 million euros to invest in startups with the potential to add value and revolutionize areas such as clean energy, smart grids, energy efficiency, electric mobility, energy storage solutions, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IoT, predictive maintenance, AR & VR, big data and advanced analytics, among others.
According to information released by the electric company, EDP Ventures has investment teams in Portugal, Spain and Brazil, currently with 32 subsidiaries spread across Europe, USA, Brazil, Israel and Bangladesh. So far, EDP Ventures has already invested 40 million euros, always with minority stakes in startups (between 500 thousand and 2 million euros).
