The presentation of EDPCOOLJAZZ 2022 took place in the Salão Nobre of the Municipality of Cascais, which will return to Cascais for another excellent festival, with many artists and news, don’t miss it.
The presentation was attended by Karla Campos from Live Experiences, Catarina Barradas from EDP and the mayor of Cascais Carlos Carreiras, who was joined by several artists who will be present at the festival, including Jéssica Pina, Murta, Mimi Froes and Tiago Nacarato.
Jéssica Pina performs on July 30th, the same day as the Brazilian artist Jorge Ben Jor, at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais. The names of the national jazz talents that will take the stage at the Cascais Jazz Sessions are also revealed. With 7 dates already announced, every day of the coolest festival of the summer will have 3 concerts each night.

There is a happy history of Jessica Pina with the festival. She started with performances by her trio at the Jazz Sessions in 2017 and since then has been a regular presence at the event. Now is the time to perform on the big stage of EDPCOOLJAZZ with their latest EP, entitled “Vento Novo”. The song “Vento Novo” was precisely the first advance of trumpeter and vocalist Jéssica Pina. This was followed by “Romeu” and recently the theme “Drama Queen”.
For the 2022 edition, the Cascais Jazz Sessions stage will once again receive 7 national jazz talents. Gileno Santana Trio – Miles Davis Legacy performs on July 2nd (Murta and John Legend), Aníbal Zola on July 10th (Mimi Froes and Paul Anka), Mateus Saldanha Trio takes the stage on July 21st (Quinquis and Yann Tiersen), Diogo Alexandre has a date set for July 23 (Tiago Nacarato and Miguel Araújo), on July 27 it’s Hugo Lobo’s turn (Miramar and Diana Krall), on the following day (28) it’s João Espadinha (Moses Boyd and Jordan Rakei) and Francisco Gomes Trio performs on the 30th of July (Jéssica Pina and Jorge Ben Jor), thus ending the 17th edition of EDPCOOLJAZZ.
