Electric scooters accelerate to the Algarve. VOI arrives today at Faro
The Algarve city will be the second to count on the presence of the brand’s scooters in Portugal.
The VOI, platform that offers electric scooters, announced, this Monday, that has just begun its operation in Faro. The Algarve is the second city that counts on the presence of this technological platform in Portugal.
From today, residents and visitors of the city of Faro will be able to enjoy electric scooters, which can be unlocked through the VOI app (available for Android and iOS). The unlocking cost is one euro and the value per minute is 15 cents.
“Faro is the second Portuguese city in which we operate and the 12th in the world, which demonstrates not only the city’s commitment to environmental sustainability but also the importance of electric vehicles for positive change,” explains Frederico Venâncio, of VOI for Portugal and Spain.
The VOI will provide electric scooters in various parts of the city, strategic for the complementarity they will offer to the public transport network and for the convenience in places of great affluence.
In the opinion of the mayor of Rogério Bacalhau, there is “the expectation that these new projects of shared mobility will represent a first step towards the sustainable development of the county.”
