F1 is back in Portugal this weekend, 24 years after the last race on national soil. To mark this milestone, ELEVEN is preparing a special transmission from the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, the largest ever of an F1 GP in Portugal.
The Portuguese GP will be broadcast live and only on Eleven channel 3, with coverage for four days, with more than 20 hours of live broadcasts and exclusive content.
The Portuguese Grand Prix is the 12th stage of the Formula 1 World Championship in 2020, after the Eifel GP that guaranteed Hamilton to match Michael Schumacher’s number of victories (91). Hamilton has the possibility to make history in Portugal if he reaches his 92nd victory, becoming the most winning GP driver in the history of the Formula 1 World Championship.
Eleven will take all the emotions of this Portuguese GP to all fans, before and after the race. Over a four-day period, a dedicated team will bring viewers the best of F1 and the Portimão circuit, with comments in Portuguese and exclusive interviews with Günther Steiner, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly, Toto Wolff, Vallteri Bottas, Geene Haas , Zak Brown, Frédéric Vasseur among others.
Adding to all these exclusive contents, Eleven presents a technological novelty in Portugal, which will allow fans to further deepen their knowledge. A novelty that will be in charge of Nuno Pinto, commentator for Eleven Portugal, and coach of pilots, currently working with Lance Stroll. Every night, from Thursday to Saturday, at 9 pm, all the analysis of the most important moments of that day, at F1 Eleven.
Following the transmission of 3 historic Portugal GPs, last weekend – Portugal 1984, Portugal 1985 and Portugal 1996, Eleven presents, this Thursday, a strict world exclusive with Emerson Fittipaldi, F1 World Champion in 1972 and 1974. On Friday, Eleven emits, exclusively, the conversation with David Coulthard, in a revisit to the past of a face that F1 fans know well.
In addition to Formula 1, Eleven will also follow the two support races that take place over the weekend: GT CUP Exhibition Race and Sports Prototype Cup, with the transmission of the qualifications and the two races of each of the competitions.

Eleven will thus guarantee the transmission of the most important moments of the race with the coverage of the following phases:
- Free Practice 1: The first 90 minutes are essential for teams and drivers to discover the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
- Free Training 2: Start preparing the race and qualification, in a detailed work of pilots, engineers and strategists.
- Free Practice 3: The last adjustments for the Qualifying session.
- Qualification: The fight for the first pole position in Portimão.
- Pre-Race: Exclusive interviews, preview, analysis and all the drivers live, in a vast ELEVEN operation in Portimão.
- Portuguese GP: 24 years later, F1 returns to Portugal and Hamilton could become the driver with the most F1 victories ever.
