“Em Casa D’Amália” sells out in Coimbra and announces an extra session
On the night Coimbra hosts the show “Em Casa D’Amália ao Vivo,” the Convento São Francisco prepares to open its doors for a double night of celebration.
The 6:00 pm session on December 14th is already sold out, and a new session has now been announced at 9:30 pm on the same day, so the city can experience a double dose of this tribute to the greatest voice of fado.
After winning over thousands of viewers on television, “Em Casa D’Amália” brings to the stage the spirit of the gatherings Amália Rodrigues hosted in her home, where music, poetry, and friendship naturally intertwined. The television format was recognised by the Portuguese Society of Authors with the award for Best Entertainment Program in 2024 and became the ratings leader on RTP1. Now, this shared energy takes to the stage, in an intimate and vibrant encounter between songs and conversations in Braga and Coimbra.
In this special edition, José Gonçalez, Marina Mota, Jorge Fernando, Lenita Gentil, André Amaro, and José Manuel Neto take the stage, in a meeting of different generations and sensibilities, united by a shared passion for Amália’s legacy.
