Emicida welcomes Capicua and Papillon at concerts in Lisbon

Brazilian will receive Portuguese rappers in the presentations of Teatro Tivoli, on the 27th, the second session is already sold out and there are few tickets left for the first.

One of the great names of music – and the arts – in Brazil today and star of Netflix, singer Emicida will bring his ‘AmarElo‘ tour to Europe for the first time, for two performances in Lisbon, on September 27, at Teatro Tivoli. . The concerts will have the participation of Portuguese rappers Capicua and Papillon. Tickets for the 10 pm session are sold out. There are only a few tickets left for the 7 pm concert. The tour will also go through London, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, and Porto. The production is by Jungle and Bossa FM.

In a world at war, Emicida chose love. And the result of that is a lot of inspiration. The album ‘AmarElo‘ gave rise to a concert and even became a Netflix movie. ‘AmarElo, – It’s all for Yesterday‘ (2020) was nominated for an International Emmy and acclaimed by critics and audiences. The title is inspired by the Brazilian poet Paulo Leminski. With this work, Emicida wants to fight the wave of hatred and polarization that flood not only Brazil but the world. It celebrates love by reminding people about little everyday things that we often forget about.

The choice of Tivoli for the Lisbon concert has a special reason. The first time he will sing in a theater in Portugal, Emicida will be able to reproduce the essence of the recording of the concert at the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, one of the main sets of the documentary.

Emicida’s relations with Portugal are growing. Last year, he became a master at the University of Coimbra by leading an artistic residency at one of the most prestigious institutions in the world.

The singer comes with his band formed by Michelle Lemos (guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, and backing vocals), Silvanny Sivuca (drums, electronic drums, and percussions), and DJ Nyack (turntables and backing vocals). The repertoire will not lack hits such as “Quem tem um amigo (has everything)”, “Landscape”, “Cananéia, Iguape, Ilha Comprida”, “Ismália”, among others.
