ena b. is the artistic name of the Austrian Verena Bachinger who explains why she lives in Lisbon “I lived in Israel before coming to Portugal, and I wanted to go back to Europe, but Austria doesn’t have much sun”.
“The first time I came to Portugal was in 2012 and I fell in love with the country. I decided to move here. Here I started taking music lessons and getting more and more involved in Lisbon’s musical life.” In addition to music, ena b. dedicates his time to teaching German.
“Moments“, as ena b. tells us. “It talks about the end of a relationship, those moments when you don’t know what one wants. On the one hand, remembering the bad things that justify the end, on the other hand the good moments that one doesn’t want to miss. It also reflects on life in general, losing love, and ultimately life. And life is just an accumulation of moments“.
“Moments” explains ena b. “it will be 4 singles that together form an EP. Each one has a slightly different style from the other, but there is a connection, a collaboration with a producer from LA“.
Bearing in mind that this “Moments” is not the first song edited by ena b. in Portugal and adds on the return of the public, “actually I feel very supported here, I had some airplay on the radios, I was invited to play in Festivals etc.. Of course, the market here is small and I am not Portuguese so the possibilities are limited, but I am grateful for the support I have from people here in Portugal. I think they like the project and when they can help, they help“.
