Charm and serenity in Herdade da Rocha proposals for Valentine’s Day

Herdade da Rocha, one of the most charming estates in Alto Alentejo, offers charming and serene proposals for Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated on February 14th (Friday).

Located in Crato, next to the slopes of the São Mamede mountain range, the estate is set in an idyllic setting, conducive to an atmosphere of complicity and romance at this special time of year. The one-night program includes a stay at the Boutique Lodge, the first themed local accommodation dedicated to the olive tree, which will be upgraded in the summer of 2024.

With check-in on February 14th or 15th, starting at 3 pm, couples can visit the winery full of artistic manifestations, go for a bike ride, walk along the walkways on site, watch the sunset at Retiro da Paz or visit the hunting grounds, where sheep, goats, deer or wild rabbits can be found; all this before a romantic dinner, prepared by the new face in the kitchen, Rodrigo Mendes, where all the flavours were carefully selected to sharpen the five senses.

The culinary proposal includes crispy rice with smoked salmon mousse as a starter, followed by octopus with creamy caramelized cauliflower and duck magret, sweet potato puree and orange sauce as main dishes. Dessert will consist of red velvet with cheese mousse, hazelnut praline and red fruits, concluding a meal in which each moment will be paired with a different wine, designed to enhance the flavours of each dish.

Next, you will stay in one of the four new elegant villas, opposite the leisure area and the elegant swimming pool, or in one of the four suites located in the main building, which also houses the restaurant and a living room. The next day, after breakfast, guests will enjoy a tour of the vineyards with the estate team, who will present the Nature project.
