On the 9th of February, Paulo Bragança will hold an Open Rehearsal to the public at the BOTA-Anjos space in Lisbon. This special event starts at 6:30 pm. The ticket price is €10.
In this special show, Paulo Bragança will make known the different outfits he created for Adriano Correia de Oliveira’s themes, from a pure band rehearsal perspective. In other words, we can watch different versions of the same theme, restarts of songs, conversations, comments, observations of the musicians, and, of course, the possible participation of the public with regard to the possibility of asking questions to the artist and the same answer these
Fado singer and performer Paulo Bragança has decided to dedicate these last few years to reinterpreting the poetic work of Adriano Correia de Oliveira, who disappeared 40 years ago.
In fact, the motto of this new show, as well as the albums that integrate it, were the celebration of Adriano’s 80th birthday, in case he was still among us, and the 40th anniversary of his death.
With the permission/authorization of Adriano Correia de Oliveira’s family, Paulo Bragança has revisited and transformed some of the most emblematic themes of this important Portuguese author, during the Dictatorship that devastated Portugal but also after it ended.
So far, the album Adriano80 (author’s edition) has been edited. Adriano40 is scheduled to be published in 2023.
