Spain thrashed Slovakia 5-0 in Seville in the final Group E game, making it through to the round of 16 in second place, behind Sweden. Will play with Croatia.
After Morata missed a penalty at 12, allowing goalkeeper Dbravka to defend, the same goalkeeper would later score in his own net, with a slap to the back of the net after the ball had gone up Sarabia’s shot to the crossbar. From there, Spain accelerated and dominated the game completely, with goals from Laporte, in their debut, Sarabia, Ferran Torres and even an own goal by Kucka.
The Slovaks are in third, as Poland did not go beyond a draw with Sweden, but ended up eliminated along with the selection guided by Paulo Sousa. Ukraine clears.
