A couple of ex-lovers – Clara (Benedita Pereira) and Tomás (Diogo Infante) – meet again a few years after the end of their relationship. The two try to understand why their passionate relationship ended abruptly. On a cold night, in Clara’s modest suburban apartment, the teacher – concerned with issues of social justice – confronts Tomás, a charismatic and successful businessman. The two engage in an ideological battle, in which their different ways of seeing life, dealing with guilt and living desire become evident. Diogo Infante (artistic director of Teatro da Trindade INATEL) challenged Marco Medeiros to stage Telhados de vidro – Skylight, in the original – one of David Hare’s most successful plays.

Marco Medeiros is an actor, director and founder of the theatre company PALCO13 (where he had the opportunity to direct several authors, both Portuguese and foreign). He was also a director of actors at SP Televisão, having directed some successful soap operas, as well as the reboot of the series Morangos com Açúcar (2023). In this play by Hare, Medeiros found a text with “a lot of material that needs to be debated in society”: power, politics, passion, human relations, and guilt. “A relentless play”, wrote journalist Joana Emídio Marques in the newspaper Observador.
