Ricardo Serrano is a pianist from Porto. A professional musician for more than three decades, he is now publishing his first album of originals, “Espelhos”.
On a musical journey through the deepest haunts of human beings, “Espelhos” illustrates a new look at classical music, framing it in a new dimension, contemporary in form and content.
In the creator’s words, “when you think beyond yourself – in someone close or even far away – you enter a special dimension. Translating that space into music is similar to photographing an immensity of moments, places, sensations, touches, experiences, smells, and colors. This is the path that ‘Mirrors’ takes. A journey through the soul.”
Ricardo Serrado begins his training at the Conservatório de Música do Porto under the aegis of Manuela Araújo, having continued at the Escola de Música do Porto with Hélia Soveral and, later, as a private student of Dina Resende.
He collaborated with artists such as Ban, Dr. Sax, Três Tristes Tigres, Ana Deus, Fernando Tordo, Carlos Mendes or Daniel Jonas.
Not limited to the performance of the professional activity of a pianist, he has already had the honor of collaborating with the worlds of theatre, dance, poetry in several and diversified initiatives.
He is also proud to dedicate himself for more than four decades to private piano teaching, one of the most rewarding activities of his career.
