INEEWS was present at the presentation of the most exclusive space at Rock in Rio Lisboa, the VIP Zone, the VIP ticket includes, in addition to access to the venue and this space, shuttle service, exclusive catering and drinks, activations of its own brand and, there are also piano showcases that take place several times a day.
Gato Preto is the new sponsor of the Rock in Rio Lisboa VIP Area and in addition to bringing the charm of its pieces to the decor of the space, it launches an exclusive collection inspired by the festival – Gatos do Rock and the Living Stages.
Less than a month away from the opening of its doors, Rock in Rio Lisboa continues to surprise with news every week. Now is the time to present the VIP Area, which is back for the 9th edition of the festival, renewed and prepared to provide premium and unforgettable moments.
Providing the best services, the ticket to the most exclusive space in the City of Rock guarantees much more than a privileged view of the Mundo Stage and its concerts: with a modern design, in this space comfort is guaranteed with several lounges and spaces to sit. , both in a covered outdoor area and in an indoor heated area. In addition, visitors will have at their disposal a cloakroom service, exclusive bathrooms and unique bar and catering proposals.
With an internal area of 1,100 m2 and a covered veranda measuring 700 m2, which offers the best view of the concerts and fireworks on the Mundo Stage, the VIP Area has the capacity to receive 2,000 people a day and is 100% accessible, including its bathrooms which, in addition to being exclusive, are adapted for people with reduced mobility. In its decor, which refers to a tropical chic look, there are diversified decorative elements where Gato Preto – which joins the festival for the first time by sponsoring this space – also contributes with notes that make this environment the most coveted in the City of Rock.
The Portuguese brand takes to the City of Rock the concept ‘Gatos do Rock and the Living Stages‘ and promises to surprise all guests with its decoration notes and a new collection designed especially to celebrate the festival, which will be available in the brand’s stores ( physical and online) from the 20th of May. The collection consists of six plates and six mugs, which represent the most iconic personalities and styles of this musical genre so characteristic of the festival – rock.

But it’s not just a different look that makes the VIP Area. In a space where “comfort” and “exclusivity” are watchwords, one of the main highlights is the food and drink menu. In this edition, the catering is signed by the Food Events Network and was made so that everyone can enjoy multiple varieties of delicacies, flavors, and textures, in a rich experience, where the five senses are activated. The ingredients used in the preparation of the dishes are local and seasonal, also bringing to this space the look of sustainable food.
“We value what comes from the ‘land’, in a clear return to the origins”, says Patricia Gama, spokesperson for the Food Network. “To give a twist to more Portuguese flavors, we challenged Brazilian chef Morena, with whom we worked on the 2019 edition of Rock in Rio in Brazil, to bring a taste of Brazil to the Portuguese capital”, she adds.
Caramelized acorn; Sea Bass Ceviche with Papadum; Codfish Tiborna with coriander sprouts; Blinis Ink Choco with Grilled Squid in Butter, Red Pepper, and Fried Parsley; Endives with Greek salad with yogurt and mint dressing; Shrimp crisps; Wild mushroom and asparagus rice with vegan farinheira; Pizzas in a wood oven with Portuguese flavors; Cheese bread in a wood oven; Pastéis de Nata in a wood oven; Mini cotton candy; Brigadiers; and Green Tea Milk Cream are some of the dishes that VIP ticket holders will be able to taste at Rock in Rio Lisboa.
The experience doesn’t end here and every day, during the intervals between the concerts on Palco Mundo, there are piano showcases inside the VIP Area that travel through great music classics, from the latest hits to timeless sounds. Complementing the offer of exclusive services, which are also included in the VIP ticket, is a 7UP bar with a mixologist who will prepare the most refreshing drinks throughout the day; a wine bar by the renowned Mateus Rosé; a Fever-Tree gin bar; and a Nespresso coffee corner. In addition, and knowing that fashion and beauty looks are increasingly part of the essence of festivals, Clarins will have a make-up station in this space with professional makeup artists, so that guests can upgrade their looks.
Also included in the VIP ticket is the special transport service, which provides a shuttle departing from the Alvalade XXI space to the door of Cidade do Rock, with a return trip also included.
The VIP area will be open every day between 2:00 pm and up to 30 minutes after the last concert on Palco Mundo and VIP tickets are available exclusively on the festival’s official website (tickets.rockinrio.com), without additional fees, for the price of 320€.
