With an expressive crowd and all its spaces sold out, Casino Estoril celebrated the arrival of the New Year with two New Year’s Eve parties.
In a glamorous night, the tradition was fulfilled in the Black and Silver Room that sold out to receive the ABBA Gold, while the space of Lounge D filled to welcome Fernando Pereira.
Consecrated by its Réveillons, Casino Estoril received several prominent personalities from Portuguese society, namely from the political, business, artistic and media areas, who attended the ABBA Gold concert at Salão Preto e Prata.
In a concert of pure revival, ABBA Gold starred, over two hours, a very interactive performance with the spectators, playing the great classics of the Swedish band that was a reference worldwide.
“Mamma Mia”, “Chiquitita”, “Waterloo”, “Fernando”, “Voulez-vous”, Super Trouper “,” Dancing Queen “or” Knowing Me “were highlighted.
The arrival of the New Year at the Black and Silver Room was also preceded by the performance of the bands State of Mind and Quinteto Bohemian. With a very dynamic record, the Feist Company celebrated midnight on stage, creating the ideal atmosphere for the ABBA Gold concert. Musical animation continued through the early hours of 2020.
But the festive atmosphere at Casino Estoril also extended to Lounge D, which, in a more informal record, signaled the arrival of the New Year to the beat of Fernando Pereira.
The “One Man Show, the Man of a Thousand Voices” celebrated the arrival of the New Year, recreating great hits from the Portuguese and foreign music scene.
Fernando Pereira has the audience singing and dancing to Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, Kool & The Gang, Blondie, REM, Bon Jovi, David Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, and António Variações, GNR, Heroes of the Sea or Radio Macau, introducing current sounds with original musical arrangements.
Accompanied by a group of ballerinas, Fernando Pereira thus provided fun and revivalist night with the best music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, ensuring the early morning entertainment.
