Europa League: Sporting disappointed against Istanbul

A nightmare for Portuguese football in Europe. After Sporting de Braga and FC Porto, it was Sporting’s turn to be eliminated from the Europa League round of 32, as they left Istanbul humiliated by a 4-1 defeat by Basaksehir.

The match ended at the end of regular time with a score of 3-1 on the scoreboard, the result of goals from Skrtel, Aleksic, and Visca for the Turks, and Luciano Vietto for the Portuguese. Already in the time of compensation, Visca, in the penalty spot, sealed the final result.
