The European Commission announced this Wednesday a program to encourage European projects in the area of cybersecurity. Initiatives are sought to help bring the region’s strategy in this field and the legislation that fits it, into a set of well-identified points.
The call for this new financing opportunity has already opened and 10.5 million euros are available, which will support projects that can contribute to improving European capacities in the area of cybersecurity and cooperation between Member States.
The amount made available through the Connecting Europe Facility program seeks initiatives that contribute to better coordinated responses to cybersecurity incidents, to boost cooperation between public and private and cross-border, or projects in the field of certification.
Interested parties can apply for the program until November 5th. Those chosen will be released months later, in May 2021.
