European Championship of Esports will be in Ukraine
The 2nd Edition of the European Championship of Esports takes place in Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine between the 20th and 25th of August.
The competition, organized annually by the European Sports Federation (EEF), will be played in the eFootball modality by 12 European teams and will have a total prize of 5 thousand dollars.
Organized by the EEF in collaboration with the International Sports Federation (IESF), the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) and the Ukrainian Efootball Association (UAEF), the European Nations Cup will be supported by the Ukrainian Government as well as the Ukrainian Professional Football Federation ( UAF).
“After the success of the first edition of the European Nations Cup, which had a solidary nature, we want to establish this international competition as the main platform to showcase current and future European talents in the various sports. We are extremely grateful to our partners in Ukraine for being a strong driving force in the European Esports movement”, Karol Cagáň, President of the European Esports Federation.
The European eFootball Championship 2021 will be played by national teams from Azerbaijan, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine.
The first edition of the European Nations Cup had a solidary nature in order to raise funds for the efforts to combat the COVID 19 pandemic. Northern Macedonia, Czech Republic and Serbia were the winners in the categories of League of Legends, Counter -Strike: Global Offensive and eFootball PES 2020, respectively.
