European Tour returns in July in the UK

The European Golf Tour, suspended since 8 March due to the covid-19 pandemic, will resume on 22 July with six tournaments taking place in the UK over the course of a month and a half.

The British Masters, which will take place near Newcastle, will be the proof of the opening of a circuit that will be played without an audience and subjected to strict testing and safety control protocols.

The English Open, the English Championship, the Celtic Classic, the Wales Open and the United Kingdom Championship are the events subject to the lifting of restrictions by the government, which has also authorized four other events in the Rolex series.

Details of subsequent European Tour tournaments, to be held between September and November, will be announced in due course, with a variety of programming options currently under consideration, as the global pandemic situation continues to evolve.

It was also announced that the DP World Tour Championship, which marks the end of the season, will take place from December 10 to 13, in Jumeriah, Dubai, where the champion will be crowned.
