Rui Massena Trio | Montijo

On January 9, a New Year’s Concert with Rui Massena Trio will take place at Cinema-Teatro Joaquim d’Almeida, at 16:30.

The pianist and composer is back on stage with an acoustic show, centered on the triumphant “III”, but which will not forget other highlights of his work. For this concert, Massena accompanies the crystalline notes of his piano with two stringed instruments, in a passionate conversation with six hands around a repertoire composed of evocative and romantic pieces. “This work”, explained Rui Massena himself, “contains a very different sound intention so the concert will reflect that, this search for new paths for my music”.

The paths can be new and challenging, but the conductor, pianist and composer follows them with the same rigor and dedication and passion with which he has always guided all stages of his career, offering his audience with a deep delivery to music that stimulates the imagination and that always transports those who listen to places of the purest beauty.
