Expanding World, the force behind the award-winning Continente Food Festival
The Continente Food Festival is back and promises to be the most epic party of the summer! On July 6 and 7 (Saturday and Sunday), Porto City Park becomes the Capital of gastronomy, music and fun, produced by Expanding World, which, for the sixth consecutive year, was the agency chosen by the Continent to organize this mega event, where more than half a million people are expected.
The logistics numbers are impressive: eight months of preparation and 14 days of assembly was the time invested by Expanding World to transform 200,000m² of space into an unforgettable experience for families. Yes, 200,000m² of pure fun, where more than 10,000 tons of structures were installed and where, on the weekend alone, 2,400 people (320 of which are production coordinators) and more than 50 partner brands will work.
For food lovers, all details meticulously thought out and prepared for a real banquet, with more than 800 tons of food stored according to the most demanding rules of hygiene and food safety, to be made by seven prestigious chefs and their 120 helpers, in addition to dozens of other food supply possibilities throughout the venue, especially the Wine Square, with more than 40 national producers!
All so that the Continente Food Festival is a genuine and unforgettable gastronomic experience. An event celebrating Portuguese gastronomy and culture, but where a strong commitment to sustainability and inclusion is also assumed.
As the largest free food and cultural festival in the country, the Continente Food Festival will benefit from wide media and digital coverage, especially the special broadcasts and live, which will be made by the SIC television channel.
