The Parish of Santo António – Lisbon, known for its cultural dynamism with diverse and innovative initiatives, is pleased to present the exhibition “Descarga de Trabalhos”, by the artist Joana Afonso.
The inauguration of the exhibition is today, July 6th, at 6 pm, in the former WC at Jardim Camilo Castelo Branco.
“Descarga de Trabalhos” is an exhibition in which Joana Afonso seeks to show the reflection of her passion for the narrative image as a means of expression, which can take the form of “small doodles of outbursts in notebooks”, or on “larger format pages, with more intricate details.” The author has always used drawing as a way to communicate with the world, unloading emotions and fantasies.
This exhibition is part of the Ilustraboom WC/BD cycle, which aims to present works by emerging and established artists, in an alternative space: the former WC in Jardim Camilo Castelo Branco, on Avenida Duque de Loulé, in Lisbon.
The exhibition will be open until July 29, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 1 pm to 7 pm.
