Traveling exhibition shows the genius of Leonardo da Vinci in Porto

The Praça de Gomes Teixeira hosts the exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci – Observe, Question and Experiment” until October 6th.

The space was converted into an open-air museum, with scale models of some of the creations of the Italian genius, as well as games and audiovisual experiences that help build bridges between its time and today.

The exhibition takes place in two spaces: inside, an audiovisual show connects Leonardo’s thinking with our daily life, and, outside, four large models faithfully reproduce some of the artist’s most modern and precursory ideas.

In the interior space, visitors will also find interactive games (analog and digital) that allow them to understand, experiment to create, and discover, through Leonardo’s works in the most varied disciplines of knowledge, the common denominator of intelligence and sensitivity. The interaction continues abroad, with the display of four full-scale models. These are faithful interpretations of Leonardo da Vinci’s original drawings, built with current materials.

Leonardo da Vinci – Observe, Question and Experiment”, is an initiative of the “la Caixa” Foundation, in collaboration with BPI, the Vicente Ferrer Foundation and the Porto City Council.
