Facebook compensates moderators who have developed PTSD

Facebook agreed to compensate a group of content moderators who developed post-traumatic stress as a result of exercising their duties. The deal amounts to $ 52 million.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he agreement also contemplates future psychological support at work to mitigate the impact of these tasks on its employees. Each moderator will receive a minimum of $ 1,000, and they are all eligible for additional compensation if a medical diagnosis proves other mental disorders.

The agreement covers 11,250 moderators and the lawyers representing them in the case believe that at least half of them may receive additional payment, given the existence of depressions and additions resulting from the work.
