Through its respective Virtual Reality division, Oculus, Facebook has sought to create better and smaller equipment.
The prototype in question only displays monochromatic images, but Facebook said it was already working on making the equipment compatible with a wider range of colors. The goal will also be to improve the resolution, which will also make the experiences more immersive.
As you can see, the prototype will not be offered for sale and the design will not be the same if it is converted to a model for the market. It is likely that, once the technology is finished, Facebook will start working on the design.
