Facebook started to unify messages from Messenger and Instagram
Facebook started to unify its messaging services and announced that users of Instagram Direct and Messenger will now be able to exchange messages with each other.
The company started to integrate some Messenger features in Instagram’s Direct, thus allowing to unify the two messaging services. Note that, for this, Instagram users will have to update the social network app.
Facebook noted that the goal is not to merge the two services but to allow Messenger users without Instagram to communicate with users of the social network.
