Featured in Casino Estoril, the cycle of fado shows continues next Wednesday, October 28, at 8:30 pm, with Francisco Salvação Barreto. The fadista takes the stage of Lounge D accompanied by Diogo Lucena Quadros on guitar and Luís Roquette on viola.
Born in Lisbon in 1982, Francisco Salvação Barreto started singing at the age of 14, among family and friends. He participated in several events in Portugal and abroad, at the invitation of Embassies on the occasion of the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union, with the aim of promoting Fado as an expression of Portuguese Culture. In 2011, Rádio Amália considered him the “revelation voice” of the year.
Landscape architect in a studio in Lisbon, Francisco Salvação Barreto keeps his artistic career very active, having released, in 2018, the album “Horas da Vida”, whose voice direction is the responsibility of Camané.
It is a record that brings together 13 songs that privilege traditional fado, classic fado, the recurring themes of love, going, staying. The letters are signed by illustrious names such as João Monge, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, José Luís Gordo, Aldina Duarte, Manuel Andrade or João Mário Veiga.
