Fado night at Casino Estoril with Maura Airez on October 21
It is next Wednesday, October 21, starting at 8:30 pm, that Maura Airez returns to Lounge D at Casino Estoril. The singer will be accompanied by Diogo Lucena Quadros on guitar and Luís Roquette on the viola.
Maura Airez conveys a strength and magnetism that does not go unnoticed by the public. With only 20 years old, the fadista prints a firmness in her voice that brings us the classics that her grandmother showed her a long time ago but that only recently she “authorized” herself to sing.
When she was preparing to pursue a career in the field of fashion at an international festival, she won the prize in the category of Best Talent with an interpretation of fado, before a jury composed of representatives from 60 countries.
She was the winner of the 1st edition of the contest “O Meu Fado” promoted by Rádio Sim. With the experience that only the Houses of Fado can provide, Maura Airez is usually present in the most important Fado events, having been considered the great revelation of the edition 2016 of the Caixa Alfama Festival.
In 2017, she participated in the Fado Festival of Morocco, together with Carminho, Luis Guerreiro and Rodrigo Costa Félix. She was also present at the NOS Alive Festival on the EDP Fado Café stage, in Belém Art Fest at the Museu da Presidência and participated in the project “Identidade F” where she stepped on the stage of the small auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Belém.
