Prime Video unveils the teaser trailer and first images for the second season of its acclaimed global hit series, Fallout, at Gamescom, the world’s largest gaming event.

During the event’s opening online broadcast, the premiere was also announced for December 17, 2025, with eight episodes released weekly until the season finale on February 4, 2026.

Fallout is produced by Kilter Films, with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy serving as executive producers. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, creators, and showrunners. To date, the first season of Fallout has garnered over 100 million viewers worldwide, making it one of Prime Video’s top three most-watched titles of all time.

The new season follows the epic finale of the first season and takes viewers on a journey through the Mojave Desert to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. Before an audience of over 5,000 people at Gamescom, Nolan, Robertson-Dworet, and series stars Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten revealed details of the second season and the future of the series’ favourite characters: Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul. Together, they surprised audiences by revealing the teaser trailer, which introduced a new cast member, Justin Theroux, as Robert House, and the first glimpse of one of the most terrifying post-apocalyptic predators in the Fallout universe: the Deathclaw.

Based on the best-selling video game franchise of all time, Fallout is the story of the haves and the have-nots in a world where there’s almost nothing to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the tranquil inhabitants of luxurious nuclear shelters are forced to return to the radiation-filled hellish world their ancestors left behind and are shocked to discover that an incredibly complex, joyfully strange, and deeply violent universe awaits them.

The series stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, Sweetpea), Aaron Moten (Emancipation, Father Stu), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), and Frances Turner (The Boys).
