Fast Eddie Nelson and Jose Luis Pardo & The Mojo Workers open BB Blues Fest

Yesterday started another edition of BB Blues Fest in Baixa da Banheira, Moita, with Fast Eddie Nelson, a return to the festival since the musician was the first to perform in the first festival nine years ago, also on stage Jose Luis Pardo & The Mojo Workers.

Couldn’t have started better with his electrifying blues, the intense gospel of Fast Eddie Nelson, captivated the fan audience that watched. He had the company on stage of João Alves on the guitar, Kiko on the drums, Rui on the voice, tambourine and keys and Agostinho on the guitar.

Born in Barreiro, Fast Eddie Nelson began to write, record and edit music in the 90s, and bands such as Gasoline, The Sullens, Los Santeros, Big River Johnson and Fast Eddie & the Riverside Monkeys are part of his career. Now he has taken the stage in his own name, with concerts in Portugal and Europe, whether alone with his music or with guests, as happened on the first day of the BB Blues Band, his rock style, the Mississippi blues, folk and gospel are unmistakable.

Among the various themes, one dedicated to the Festival’s founders, who embarked on this adventure nine years ago with the support of the municipality of Moita and the Baixa da Banheira Council.

Jose Luis Pardo & The Mojo Workers who came from Spain, to end the first day of the festival.

José Luis Pardo, an Argentine musician, with performances all over the world and several on the United States Blues circuit, has several albums edited including 3 with American artists.

Among the many good themes that led to the Blues Fest Stage, such as “Tell me why“, “World Full Of Troubles” or “Mabelle“, Jose Luis Pardo & The Mojo Workers were fantastic on stage that the audience reciprocated with lots of applause.

A great Blues night, but more to come don’t miss the Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s Blues Pik-Nik concerts.
