Fate Gear are the first band announced for IBERANIME in Santarém

one of the most important groups of Japanese steampunk metal, take the stage on May 18th

IBERANIME announced the first name for the edition that will be held at CNEMA, in Santarém, on May 17 and 18, 2025.

It’s about the female band Fate Gear, one of the most important names of steampunk metal in Japan. Fate Gear debuts on the national stage on the second day of the event, the 18th.

The band was founded in June 2015 by guitarist and songwriter Captain Mina. Fate Gear stand out for their unique sound, which combines elements of metal with the steampunk aesthetic.

Fate Gear’s discography is marked by albums such as A Light in the Black (2015), Oz – Rebellion (2017), 7 Years Ago (2018) and The Sky Prison (2021). His latest album, “Kill the Shadow King,” was released this month and has earned rave praise in the specialist press.

The group has also shown their work on anime soundtracks. The song “MEGABULLETS” was one of the themes of the 2019 anime “Kengan Ashura“.

With a remarkable international presence, Fate Gear continues to expand its horizons and IBERANIME, the largest event of Japanese popular culture in Portugal, will be the stage for their unique musical style.

Tickets for IBERANIME 2025 are already on sale and ticket prices do not change compared to the 2024 edition: 18 euros, in the 1st phase; 20 euros in the 2nd phase; and 25 euros in the 3rd phase and entry to the convention (daily ticket values and adult).
