FC Porto beats Benfica and wins the Cup

FC Porto beat Benfica 2-1, winning the Portuguese Cup. Thanks to two goals from central Chancel Mbemba, already after the blues and whites were reduced to 10 players.Vinícius scored the goal for the reds, from a penalty spot, in the final part of the match.

In an empty Coimbra Municipal Stadium, due to covid-19, FC Porto, reduced to 10 players since 38 minutes, by Luis Díaz’s expulsion, scored by Chancel Mbemba, in the 47th and 57th minutes, with Benfica reducing by Carlos Vinícius, at 84, in the penalty spot.

FC Porto, who have not won the Cup since 2010/11, added the 17th trophy and equaled Sporting, being nine from Benfica, who is the record holder for trophies.
