FC Porto faces Barcelona in the group stage of the Handball Champions League
This Friday, the draw for the group stage of the Handball Champions League took place and FC Porto is the only Portuguese representative in the competition.
And the draw turned out not to be nice for the dragons. Magnus Andersson’s team ended up in Group B, where they will face the defending champions, Barcelona (which has Portuguese Luís Frade) and PSG, third-placed in last year’s edition. Flensburg, Veszprém, Dynamo Bucharest, and Motor make up the rest of the group.
The group stage will be played in two legs, with the top two in each group advancing directly to the quarter-finals, while the teams that finish between third and sixth will play a play-off.
