FC Porto almost started playing against 10, with Gil Vicente being sent off in the 2nd minute, but if that seemed like an advantage, it turned out not to be.
Porto entered the field, knowing that they could distance themselves even further from Sporting, who had gone to Marítimo and tied with a ball, and perhaps put an end to the Championship.
But Gil Vicente with 10, for the early dismissal of Vítor Carvalho, turned out to be a “hard nut to crack”, and despite Porto dominating, it was Gil Vicente who scored first, with a great goal from Fran Navarro at 62 minutes, with the dragons reacting and scoring right away by Evanilson.

Porto, however, failed to materialize their numerical superiority in goals, against an excellent Gil Vicente.
Porto now has 64 points, 6 more than Sporting and 10 more than Benfica, who received and won 3-0 against Vitória de Guimarães.
