FC Porto elections scheduled for June
The FC Porto elections were initially scheduled for April 18, but were eventually postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic.
In a meeting that brought together candidates and representatives from the four lists presented, it was determined that the list headed by President Pinto da Costa will be A, Nuno Lobo’s will be B, and José Fernando Rio will be C, while the independent list for the Superior Council was defined as D.
Jorge Filipe Correia, one of the names on list A, by Pinto da Costa, to the Superior Council, represented the candidacy of the current president at the meeting, and, in the end, explained why he chose the dates for the elections.
The candidate for the Superior Council, on the Pinto da Costa list, also announced that the FC Porto elections should take place in the pavilion.
On the other hand, José Fernando Rio, candidate of list C, was unhappy with the proposed date for the electoral act.
The candidate believes that at that time the conditions to carry out the electoral act will not yet be met.
Nuno Lobo, candidate of list B, is receptive to the appointed date, even though it was strange that it was carried out in two days.
