FC Porto failed under pressure and drawed with Rio Ave
On Saturday, FC Porto wasted the opportunity to move away from the second-placed team, in the game against the river ave, but failed to do so under pressure. On 18 minutes, and after an insistent play, Shoya Nakajima made a late pass in the penalty area, which Chancel Mbemba took the opportunity to shoot for 1-0.
In the 33rd minute, Rio Ave took advantage and managed, with a beautiful goal from Mehdi Taremi, to reach the tie. The Iranian international combined with Diogo Figueiras and placed the ball in the back of the net in the custody of Agustín Marchesín.
FC Porto did not know how to react to the goal conceded, and although it was installed in the opposing midfield in the second half, it always showed serious difficulties in penetrating the Vila-Condense defense, having only managed to do so on two occasions.
FC Porto leads, but remains only one point ahead of Benfica.
