FC Porto confirmed their favoritism against Águas Santas and became, this Saturday, two-time national handball champion, collecting 28 victories in other so many rounds to stamp the 22nd national title. With the 35-32 victory, FC Porto leaves Sporting (21) behind as the club with the most national championships.
At half-time, Magnus Andersson’s team won 16-14, eventually managing to hold off the triumph in the second 30 minutes to make the party.
With two rounds to go, the dragons have five points ahead of Sporting, who at the João Rocha Pavilion beat Belenenses 31-28.
