Benfica emerges in the 27th place and Sporting in the 37th
Their triumph over AS Roma and their UEFA Champions League quarter-finals earned FC Porto the isolated lead in the UEFA rankings for the 2018/19 season.
The set led by Sérgio Conceição added six wins, a draw and a defeat in all eight matches he has played to date in the biggest continental competition of clubs, which earns him a record of 23,000 points, plus two thousand than Ajax, who eliminated Real Madrid.
Closing the podium is a set of five clubs that are tied with 20,000 points. They are Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City (seven matches) and Tottenham (eight matches).
Benfica, who are at a disadvantage in their bid for a place in the Europa League quarter-finals after a 0-1 defeat by Dinamo Zagreb, are the second-best Portuguese club on the table (27th, 12 thousand points), followed by Sporting (37th with 10 thousand points).
Further down this table are Sporting Braga (112th, with two thousand points) and Rio Ave (144th, with 1500 points), according to the table updated this Friday.
