FC Porto loses in the round of 16 of the Championships in Handball

This Wednesday, FC Porto was close to writing a page of history in international handball.

The dragons lost to Aalborg in the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League, in Denmark, by 24-27, and the number of goals scored outside did not mark the first presence in history in the quarter-finals of the competition.

In the 1st leg, at Dragão Arena, FC Porto had won by 32-29 and in this 2nd leg match, defeat was even allowed. However, the Danes won with a margin of three goals and were thus able to move on to the quarter-finals of the competition due to goals scored away from home.

Aalborg will thus face the Germans from Flensburg-Handewitt in the quarter-finals of the handball Champions League.
