FC Porto beat Nacional 4-2, qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup.
Authentic game of madmen in the Choupana, with a little of everything. Luis Díaz opened the scoring after 22 minutes for the dragons, but Nacional reacted immediately and Róchez called.
In the second part, Riascos consumed the turnaround for islanders, who shortly afterwards were reduced to 10, due to the expulsion of Rui Correia, due to the accumulation of yellow cards. Sérgio Conceição then launched Marega and Evanilson into the game and the Brazilian striker would score the equalizer in the 88th minute, taking the decision for extra time.
In the additional half hour, Sérgio Oliveira put the dragons in the lead again, arriving later with confirmation by Taremi. There was still a penalty for Nacional, but Diogo Costa would later deny Vincent Thill’s intentions.
FC Porto, the current title holder, remains in the competition, waiting for the match between Gil Vicente and Académico Viseu to define who their opponents will be in the quarter-finals.
