The Lamego Medieval Fair is back at Praça do Comércio, between the 10th and 12th of June
Between the 10th and 12th of June, the Municipality of Lamego will return to the past with the historical reconstitution of the times of D. Afonso Henriques and the Courts of Lamego. The Lamego Medieval Fair will bring together dozens of artisans who will recreate the trade and arts of the medieval period. The nobility, craft masters and servants are also back to excitedly recreate history.
The event, with free admission, bets on the promotion of tourism and local commerce, contributing to the social and economic dynamism of the municipality. On the one hand, it attracts many visitors from outside, and on the other hand, it allows several local traders and artisans to make their activities and products known, stimulating the local economy, especially in the historic areas of the city.
The Medieval Market will offer several gastronomic options and entertainment is guaranteed with lots of music and curious games of skill.

The Medieval Fair of Lamego is an initiative carried out within the scope of the project “Cultural Agenda and Dynamization of Traditional Commerce”, 85% co-financed by the FEDER, with the primary objective of boosting the historic centres, in particular the areas intervened within the scope of the Strategic Plan. for Urban Development (PEDU).
