Felipe Oliveira Baptista leaves creative direction at Kenzo
The news of Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s departure comes days after the Portuguese designer presented Kenzo’s latest sports collection.
When its hiring was announced in July 2019, the Louis Vuitton business group Moët Hennessy (LVMH) stated, in a statement, that Felipe Oliveira’s talent as a designer, his mastery of clothing and his personal roots, originating from very different cultures distinct, constituted real assets to give a new creative energy to Casa Kenzo.
Felipe Oliveira Baptista joined Kenzo after being creative director at Lacoste for eight years.
In 2002 he created the first collection in his own name, presented and awarded at the Festival Hyères, in France.
