Félix da Costa wins at the Stock Cars Championship in Brazil

The Portuguese António Félix da Costa (Cruze) won today the second of two races of the Brazilian Championship of Stock Cars, which took place in Interlagos, in São Paulo.

The Portuguese driver, who started from second place, after being ninth in the first race of the day, maintained an intense fight but ended up being declared the winner as he was leading at the moment when Caetano di Mauro’s Cruze took off when trying to overtake, leading to the entry of the ‘safety car’ and the early end of the race.

This was the second time that a non-Brazilian driver won a race in this championship, after Argentine Nestor Girolami had already done so in 2015.
