FeMa. launches “Verde Mar”
FeMa., an emerging talent in national indie pop and artistic project by Diogo Félix, released a new single “Verde Mar”, a song with an ecological message that encourages us not to give up even when faced with the “end of the world”.
“Verde Mar” is the new single by FeMa., an artist from Alcobaça who has already released two EPs – HOMNiA (2024) and ma palavra chamada folha (2022). It is a song deeply marked by the duality between the presence of destruction that plagues the human land and the sea as a symbol of hope and escape.
The song reflects on a world devastated by wars and conflicts, where the earth, once a refuge and home, becomes a blind and suffocating place. In this scenario, the sea appears as a liberating horizon, a promise of renewal, transcendence and peace amid chaos. The lyrics carry within them a strong symbolism, “Green water lies at the bottom of my altar”, and “I woke up in the middle of the march,” which evokes the pain of humanity in ruins, but also the incessant search for new beginnings. The melody, with roots in fado and contemporary touches, intensifies this narrative, balancing the melancholy of loss with the hope of transformation.
“Verde Mar” is a response to the times we live in. An anthem for those who carry the weight of a collapsing world, but still find on the horizon the promise of a brighter future.
This is the first of several FeMa. releases. throughout 2025 and anticipates the release of the artist’s first full-length album. The song is now available on all platforms, including YouTube with a music video directed by Daniel Evangelista.
FeMa. will be on the road at the beginning of the year throughout the country. He takes to the stage on February 7th at Escola Normal in Porto and on the 27th of the same month at Com Calma in Lisbon. In March and April, he will tour FNACs throughout Portugal, starting at Colombo (Lisbon) and then, in order, passing through Almada, Alfragide, Coimbra, Braga, Guimarães (at CAAA), NortheShopping, Funchal Oeiras and Cascais.

FeMa. is the project of Diogo Félix, an artist from Alcobaça who transforms music into visual and emotional stories. Inspired by nature and how sound can create images, FeMa. presents a sensory journey, where each theme is an opportunity for reflection and change. Their songs grow like trees: organic, constantly transforming and deeply connected to what is natural.
The project began in 2021, with the first singles, “Darkest Night” and “May”, which revealed an introspective sound, marked by a poetic melancholy. The following year, FeMa. released his first EP, “A Word Called Leaf”, a work sung in English that focused on the interior – on emotions, on the most intimate thoughts and on self-knowledge.
After a break in 2023 to reconnect with his essence, Diogo Félix brought new energy to the project. In 2024, he released the single “Vontade, vontadinha”, accompanied by a music video that introduced a visual universe inspired by nature and imagination. It was also in that year that he released the EP “HOMNiA”, now in Portuguese. This work marked a turning point: if the first EP explored the interior, “HOMNiA” began to look outward, connecting who we are to the world around us.
Now, in 2025, FeMa. prepares to take an even bigger step. In February, he released the single “Verde Mar”, which opened the doors to his long-awaited debut album. This new work promises to continue exploring the connection between the intimate and the natural, in a sound journey that invites contemplation and growth.
FeMa. it’s not just music; It is an experience that unites what we feel and what we see, creating a bridge between the imaginary and reality. Diogo Félix continues to reinvent himself, always to transform his art into a space where change can happen.
