Teatro Maria Matos received Fernando Cunha on the day of the presentation of his latest original album, “A Linha do Tempo”.
Fernando, thanked his presence for the presentation of his latest album, recorded during the pandemic, during the confinement and about the work he said “it is a reflection, precisely, on time, on the way we spend it, and the way we perceive ourselves also with this pandemic, that if we could spend time, in what was not the most important thing…“, but not only the themes of the disc were presented, and he adds “I will also present some themes of my career, which also have a little to do with this idea of the timeline”
The concert was attended by friends and fans, who from the first chord the support, Fernando asks to tell a story, then plays some chords and says “a song started with these chords many years ago, I had my frill there that is behind the drums, he was only six years old at the time, it was the first time he went to the studio and played on that black drum set that is in the back, barely reaching the pedals, and said – Dad, play a song – I asked – what do you want me to play – and he replied – something – I started to play these chords, and he accompanied me, very well, and I said to him like this – look if you keep playing and learn to play, one day you will be on stage with me, let’s play this song, I write a lyrics and a melody…” then calls Marité (Maria León) his partner to sing ‘Canção Pai e Filho‘ with lyrics by Marité and Fernando.
With the concert coming to an end, Fernando calls Pedro Jóia, for the song ‘Final Feliz‘ that he dedicates to Ukraine, in the hope that it can also have a happy ending, followed by surprise guest Olavo Bilac to sing ‘There is only time for live now’ and for the farewell, with everyone on stage they end with ‘A nossa vez‘.
Fernando Cunha, the undisputed name of national pop-rock, founding member of Delfins, Ar De Rock and the superband Resistência, featured Paulo Costa from Ritual Tejo and Ar De Rock, Diogo Campos from Legal Evidence and Ar De Rock and Maria León from Ravel, Ar De Rock and Chameleon Collective, also by Pedro Joia and also a surprise guest, Olavo Bilac from dos Santos & Pecadores, Resistência and Zeca Sempre.
