Fernando Girão launches the album Migalhas Cósmicas on April 25th

Fernando Girão presents Migalhas Cósmicas, his new studio album, a work that reflects on time, humanity and the social transformations that shape the contemporary world.

Composed of 11 tracks, the album delves into a rich and diverse sound fusion, maintaining the artist’s unique identity, marked by his ability to explore different musical universes without compromising artistic coherence.

The album, which will be available on all digital platforms on April 25, follows the release of the lead single, “Já Foram 50 Anos”, released on March 28, a song that revisits the Carnation Revolution and reflects on the changes – and disappointments – that followed.

In Migalhas Cósmicas, Fernando Girão proposes a sound and philosophical journey, addressing timeless questions through words and music. “Words touch old wounds and, at the same time, open new paths of learning in our way of facing and feeling the vibrations of today, without ever getting lost in trivialities that could divert us from our destinies or in terms of civilisation”, reflects the artist.

The work, written and composed by Fernando Girão and Vicente Pereira, is marked by a dense and elaborate instrumental, crossing influences from world music, jazz, rock and fado, in an alignment where each track presents itself as a fragment of a broader vision about the state of humanity. “This album shows us that, if we are actively attentive to the passing of life, we can reach higher planes and naturally ‘understand’ what we call living, with its various and complex problems”, adds Girão.

Migalhas Cósmicas is not limited to a contemplative record – it is also a warning about an increasingly uncertain future. Between reflections on the human condition and the impact of social and political changes, the album reaffirms the critical and sensitive view of the artist, who throughout his career has explored music as a tool for expression and questioning.
