Fernando Pimenta in the semi-finals of K1
Portuguese canoeist Fernando Pimenta is qualified for the semi-finals of the K1 1000m event at the Tokyo2020 Olympic Games, after having won their tie.
Fernando Pimenta assumed that it was very positive to enter the race with a good result, but that it was not easy due to the present conditions, namely the wind. The athlete also highlighted that the next objective is to guarantee qualification for the final of the category.
The canoeist Joana Vasconcelos was removed today in the K1 200 meters race of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, when she failed to qualify for the semi-finals. After failing to qualify directly, the Portuguese athlete finished in fourth place, with 1.651 seconds from Canadian Andreanne Langlois.
