Fernando Pimenta wins series and is in the ‘socks’ of the world-wide of K1 1.000

The Portuguese Fernando Pimenta today qualified for the semi-finals of the 1,000-meter K1 event of the Canoeing World Championships in Montemor-o-Velho, when he won his series.

The three-time European champion controlled the race from start to finish and won with a time of 3.31.419 minutes, beating René Poulsen of Denmark for 1.755 seconds and Belgian Arturr Peters for 1,825.
