A reference in Portuguese music, Fernando Tordo returns, on May 28, at 9 pm, to the Casino Estoril Auditorium to star in the show “Ary dos Santos: Histórias das Canções”.
Fernando Tordo will remember the compositions and memories he keeps of the years he created songs with José Carlos Ary dos Santos, a poet with whom he maintained an intense partnership for almost two decades.
First the songs were born, composed by Tordo, and it was on these that Ary dos Santos wrote the lyrics. This collaboration gave rise to a vast and timeless repertoire, which includes themes such as “Cavalo à Solta”, “Estrela da Tarde” or the unavoidable “Bullfight”.
“Ary dos Santos: Histórias das Canções” is more than a concert. It is the narration of a meeting that marked Portuguese music. Each song preserves a memory. And it is the stories of this union that Fernando Tordo promises to tell, before making us dive into the luminous compositions.
